White Takes Down Burgundy 1-0

Unlike past Burgundy & White games, this one turned out to be a defensive struggle. The only goal came late in regulation off the stick of Mikhail Grigorenko. With some players still at the World Cup of Hockey, the coaching staff opted to go with a younger lineup.

Avs Cut Six Players from Camp Roster

The Avalanche had two practice sessions on Monday and also announced the first cuts to the training camp roster. Colorado will play it's first preseason game on Tuesday against the Minnesota Wild.

The roster now stands at 51:

Clurman to Remain at Culver Academy for 2016-17 Season

After the Avalanche selected Boulder native, Nate Clurman, in the sixth round of the NHL Entry Draft this past June, it was expected the defenseman would join the Tri-City Storm (USHL) for this upcoming season. However, it appears he has opted to remain at Culver Military Academy (USHS) for the 2016-17 campaign.
