Preliminary Round - Group B

Finland 8 - Slovakia 3

Team Finland bounced back after a sluggish performance against the Russians. Mikko Rantanen is still finding his game; had an assist in the second period. Jesse Puljujarvi had a goal and three assists for Finland.

QMJHL

Rouyn-Noranda 6 - Blainville-Boisbriand 0

The Armada were held to 14 shots in the game. Martins Dzierkals had a hat trick for the Huskies. JC Beaudin was called for a high sticking penalty in the first. He was credited with two hits in the game. Julien Nantel (14) opened the game's scoring early in the second period. AJ Greer had two shots in the game.

Val-d'Or 5 - Drummondville 2

The Foreurs scored three times in the second period. Alexis Pepin fired five shots on goal and had two hits in the contest. Val'd'Or captain, Anthony Richard, had a goal and an assist.

Swift Current 6 - Saskatoon 4

Kade Jensen scored twice for the Broncos. Gustav Olhaver notched his first point with Swift Current, an assist on a second period goal. He was also penalized for roughing in the first.

Great Lakes Invitational Championship (Detroit, MI)

Michigan 4 - Michigan Tech 2

The Wolverines struck three times in the second period to capture the GLI Championship. JT Compher assisted on a power play marker. He had three shots in the game.
