The host club was looking for their second win of the tournament, but ran into a potent Russian club, who overcame a two goal deficit. A tough outing for Mikko Rantanen, who was held to one shot in the game and finished minus two. Yegor Korshkov had three assists for the Russians. Sergei Boikov was even for the game.
Gatineau 4 - Rouyn-Noranda 1
Not only did this game feature the QMJHL debut of AJ Greer, but four Avs prospects in total suited up for the game. For his part, Greer registered three shots in the game for Rouyn-Noranda. The lone goal for the Huskies was scored by Julien Nantel (13), assisted by JC Beaudin, in the third period. Nicolas Meloche was credited with two shots and two hits for Gatineau.
Val'd-Or 3 - Blainville-Boisbriand 1
Alexis Pepin (15) was credited with the game winner with under four minutes remaining in the third period. Jan Mandat also scored for the Foreurs.
Edmonton 3 - Red Deer 1
Brandon Baddock had a goal and an assist for the Oil Kings. Conner Bleackley was minus two and was called slashing and cross checking infractions in the second and third periods respectively for the Rebels.
