Chicago 4 - San Antonio 3 - F/OT
Troy Bourke (1) got things started early for the Rampage; scoring just 49 seconds into the contest. There was no scoring between the clubs until the third period when Colin Smith (4) gave San Antonio a two goal lead.
The lead would not last for the Rampage. Two goals in 2:06 notted the game for the Wolves. Nikita Zadorov, who was just recently demoted to San Antonio by the Colorado Avalanche, made an immediate impact. He gave the Rampage a 3-2 lead with 2:10 remaining in regulation.
Ty Rattie tied the game at three just 36 seconds later for the Stars. Danny Kristo ended the overtime session with his fifth goal of the season. Roman Will made 21 saves in his season debut for the Rampage.
Fort Wayne 5 - Kalamazoo 2
Spencer Martin was given the night off for the Komets. Kyle Thomas scored twice for Fort Wayne. Cody Corbett had an assist. The Komets have won six of their first nine games to start the season.
Moncton 4 - Baie-Comeau 1
The Wildcats took control of the game early with three goals in the first period. Nicolas Meloche spent time in the penalty box for slashing and cross-checking minors.
Rouyn-Noranda 4 - Charlottetown 3 - F/OT
The teams combined for four goals in the opening period. JC Beaudin had five shots in the game and assisted on a third period goal. Julien Nantel also had an assist, but was penalized for spearing in the opening frame. Alexandre Fortin had the overtime winner for the Huskies.
Val-d'Or 4 - Blainville-Boisbriand
Etienne Montpetit stopped all 26 shots he faced for the Foreurs. Alexis Pepin had one hit and one shot in the game. Jan Mandat and Shawn Ouellette-St-Amant each had a goal and an assist.
