The San Antonio Rampage dropped their final preseason game 5-4 in overtime to the Texas Stars. Colin Smith, Mason Geertsen, Chris Bigras and Brett Perlini scored for the Rampage.

On Saturday, the club reassigned Pat Nagle (G), Will Weber (D), Cody Sol (D), Austin Levi (D), Reid Halabi (RW), and Brock Montgomery (RW) to Fort Wayne (ECHL).

On Sunday, the Colorado Avalanche traded forward Freddie Hamilton to the Calgary Flames for a conditional seventh round pick. The trade certainly impacts the depth of the Rampage.

Sergei Boikov was minus two and was credited with three hits in the game.

Val-d'Or 6 - Chicoutimi 3

Alexis Pepin racked up a second period power play assist. He was also called for a cross-checking minor in the same frame.

Victoriaville 6 - Baie-Comeau 2

Nicolas Meloche served high-sticking and cross-checking penalties in the first and third periods respectively. The Tigres capitalized on the first opportunity.


Tri-City 6 - Seattle 5 - F/OT

Gustav Olhaver scored his first career WHL goal late in the second period. He was minus three and his club was 0-4 on the power play.


Michigan 8 - Toronto 1

JT Compher scored twice in Michigan's exhibition win. The captain was named the third star of the game.

Denver 4 - Calgary 0

Danton Heinen had a goal and two assists for Denver. Trevor Moore added three assists. Will Butcher was even for the Pioneers in their exhibition victory.
