Rookie Camp Opens on Sunday

As a new hockey season draws near, the Colorado Avalanche prepare to open their rookie camp on Sunday morning. The three-day camp will feature 29 players, including four from the recent 2013 draft class.

All eyes will be on top pick Nathan MacKinnon, but this camp will be especially important for the likes of Joey Hishon and Duncan Siemens. Hishon is looking to continue his comeback from a concussion he suffered more than two years ago. Siemens completed his junior career last season with Saskatoon (WHL)  and is looking to make an impact in his first professional season.

On ice sessions for the three-day rookie camp will run from 10:00 AM to approximately 11:30 AM each morning at Family Sports in Centennial, CO.
