London takes the series with a 5-4 overtime victory against Plymouth. The Whalers made a valiant comeback in the third period with three goals; one of them belonging with Garrett Meurs. He had an assist in the second period. Mitch Heard, who returned to the lineup after a one-game suspension, found himself in trouble yet again with a tripping minor, instigating minor, fighting major, and misconduct penalties in the first and second periods.
Max Domi stunned the Whalers quickly, scoring just 20 seconds into the first overtime period. Heard finished with eight goals and five assists in 14 playoff games. Meurs had seven goals and seven assists in 15 post-season contests. The duo is expected to start next season with the Lake Erie Monsters.
Eastern Conference Championship -- Game 5 -- Series tied at two
Edmonton upends Calgary 5-1. The Oil Kings took charge of the game early with three first period goals. Trevor Cheek had an assist on one of those goals. Stephane Legault and Dylan Wruck each had two helpers for the Oil Kings. The lone Hitmen tally came on the power play.

Portland drops Kamloops 4-1 to take the series in five games. The Winterhawks struck twice on the power play. Colin Smith was minus two for the losing Blazers. He finished with two goals and 12 assists this post-season in 12 games. Seth Jones opened the game with his fifth goal of the playoffs.
