Opening Round -- Game 5 -- 3-1 Allen

Allen upends Denver 6-2; takes series in five games. Jim McKenzie had a goal and two assists for the Americans. Brad Smyth and Luke Fulghum scored for Denver, who end a solid inaugural season. In net, Kieran Millan was pulled early in the second period after allowing three goals on nine shots. Kent Patterson finished the game, stopping 15 shots. Each club had a power play goal in the contest.

QMJHL

Quarter-Final -- Game 2 -- 1-0 Rouyn-Noranda

Quebec doubles up Rouyn-Noranda 4-2; ties series at one game a piece. Adam Erne had two tallies for the Remparts. Dillon Donnelly was plus one on the evening. He was credited with a hit in the game and was penalized for roughing late in regulation. The Remparts struck twice on the power play.

WHL

Western Conference Semifinals -- Game 1

Kamloops tops Kelowna 4-2. Colin Smith left the game in the second period due to injury and is expected to miss Sunday's contest. Smith did not factor in the game offensively prior to his departure. The Blazers opened the game with three first period goals. Brendan Ranford had two goals for the winning Kamloops squad.
