AHL

Lake Erie skates past Rochester 3-1. The Monsters recorded two goals in the second period after a scoreless opening frame. Luke Walker (9) and Paul Carey (16) were credited with the goals. Rochester cut the lead in half by the end of the period.

Newcomer, Tomas Vincour, made an early impression with an assist on Carey's goal and a tally of his own in the third period. He was named the first star of the game. Calvin Pickard stopped 37 shots en route to second star of the game honors. He has 17 wins on the season. Stefan Elliott contributed with two assists.

Western Conference Semifinals -- Game 1

Plymouth steam rolls Owen Sound with four third period goals, wins 4-1. Garrett Meurs had the first of the four goal barrage for the Whalers. He has scored four goals thus far this post-season. Mitch Heard did not factor in on any of the Plymouth goals. He did serve a too-many men on the ice penalty in the third period. Sebastian Uvira had two goals in the contest for the Whalers.

Quarter-Final -- Game 1

Rouyn-Noranda dumps Quebec 6-1. Gabriel Slight and Maxime St-Cyr each had two goals for the Huskies; who were 1-3 on the power play. Dillon Donnelly was minus one for Quebec. The Remparts lone goal was scored late in the opening period.

Eastern Conference Semifinals -- Game 1

Edmonton upends Medicine Hat 4-1. Four different skaters scored for the Oil Kings. Trevor Cheek assisted on a second period tally for the Oil Kings. The clubs combined to go 0-9 on the power play. Edgars Kulda had a couple of assists to go along with his goal for Edmonton.
