Western Conference Championship -- Game 3 -- Series tied at one
London skates past Plymouth 6-4; takes 2-1 lead in the series. After falling behind 3-0, the Whalers scored four straight goals to open up the third period. However, the Knights regained control of the game with three tallies in the last five minutes of regulation. Max Domi and Bo Horvat each had two markers for the Knights.
Mitch Heard notched his eighth goal of the post season. He was called for a slashing penalty in the first, served an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the third, and was given a five minute major and game misconduct for a check to the head late in regulation. Garrett Meurs was minus two for the contest and had a power play assist.
Eastern Conference Championship -- Game 3 -- Series tied at one
Calgary scores five times in the second period, upends Edmonton 5-2. Five different skaters scored for the Hitmen. Trevor Cheek opened the scoring for the Oil Kings on the power play with his eighth goal of the playoffs. Two of the goals in the five goal barrage for the Hitmen were with the man advantage.
Western Conference Championship -- Game 3 -- 2-0 Portland
Kamloops topples Portland 5-1. Tim Bozon was the offensive star for the Blazers with two goals and two assists. Colin Smith scored his second goal of the post-season in the opening period. He would add a couple of assists later in the game. Ty Rattie had the lone goal for the Winterhawks. Smith was named the first star of the game.
