Lake Erie dumps Hamilton 6-2. The Monsters opened the game with four first period goals. John Negrin (2), Luke Walker (11), Andrew Agozzino (19), and Paul Carey (17) had the goals. After a scoreless second period, the clubs exchanged two goals each. Agozzino added his second of the night and Dean Strong (5) had the other.

In net, Calvin Pickard stopped 22 shots for the Monsters. The teams combined to go 0-5 on the power play. Tomas Vincour, who has been a welcomed addition offensively to the Monsters lineup, contributed with three assists. He was named the second star of the game. Agozzino and Carey were named the first and third stars respectively.

Western Conference Semifinals -- Game 5 -- Series tied at two

Plymouth blanks Owen Sound 5-0; takes a 3-2 lead in the series. The Attack were held to just 19 shots on goal. Mitch Heard and Stefan Noesen each scored twice for the victorious Whalers. Heard has six goals this post-season and was named the second star of the game. Garrett Meurs was plus two for the game.

Quarter-Final -- Game 5 -- 3-1 Rouyn-Noranda

Rouyn-Noranda hammers Quebec 6-1; ends series in five games. The Remparts could manage only 15 shots in the contest. Dillon Donnelly was minus two on the night. Nikita Kucherov had a hat trick for the Huskies, to go along with three assists. Jean-Sebastien Dea contributed with two goals for Rouyn-Noranda. For Donnelly, he ends the post-season with one assist in 11 games and 21 penalty minutes.
