Hamilton blanks Lake Erie 2-0. The Monsters have won only two of their last 10 games. Dustin Tokarski stopped all 31 shots Lake Erie threw at him. Former Avs prospect, Michael Bournival, scored his seventh goal of the season for the Bulldogs. He was named the third star of the game. David van der Gulik led the Monsters in shots on goal with four.

Denver skates past Tulsa 5-2. The Cutthroats capitalized on two of three power play opportunities. AJ Gale scored twice for Denver. Kent Patterson had a strong game in net for the Cutthroats, making 35 saves. Joel Chouinard had two helpers in the game for Denver.

QMJHL

Moncton trims Quebec 3-2. Phillip Danault was credited with the game winner for the Wildcats. Dillon Donnelly had a minus two rating for the Remparts and had a hit in the game. He was penalized for roughing in the first period. The clubs combined to go 0-5 in the contest.

WHL

Kamloops doubles up Vancouver 4-2. Colin Smith collected a third period assist for the Blazers. He was penalized for slashing in the opening frame. Each club had a power play tally in the contest. Kamloops has won back-to-back games.

NCAA

ECAC

Yale nips Cornell 2-1. Stu Wilson was credited with the game winning goal for the Bulldogs early in the third period. The tally came on the power play. Gus Young had a shot on goal for Yale and was minus one on the evening. Yale is now 8-2 against Ivy League opponents.

WCHA

Minnesota upends Denver 5-1; splits weekend series. The Gophers used four third period goals to pull away from the Pioneers. Nathan Condon was credited with a shot on goal for the Gophers and was plus two for the game. Zach Budish had two goals and two assists for Minnesota. The Gophers overall record improves to 22-7-5.
