Quebec doubles up Chicoutimi 6-3. Nick Sorensen scored twice for the Remparts. Dillon Donnelly was plus three in the game for Quebec. Roughing and boarding calls sent Donnelly to the penalty box in the second and third periods respectively. All goals in the contest were even strength as the clubs combined to go 0-6 on the power play. Donnelly was credited for three hits in the game.
Eastern Conference Quarterfinals -- Game 3 -- 2-0 Medicine Hat
Medicine Hat upends Saskatoon 5-2; Blades on the brink of elimination. Five different skaters scored for the Tigers in the game; including Curtis Valk, who added a couple of assists. Four of the goals for Medicine Hat arrived in the first period. Duncan Siemens assisted on one of the two goals for the Blades. The Tigers were 2-5 with the man advantage.
Western Conference Quarterfinals -- Game 3 -- 2-0 Kamloops
Kamloops falls to Victoria 2-1. The Royals were out shot 40-28. Colin Smith had the primary assist on the lone Blazers goal, which was a power play tally in the second period. The winning goal by Tim Traber was scored just 50 seconds into the third period.
