Rapid City trims Denver in a shoot-out 4-3. The Cutthroats forced overtime with three third period goals. Kent Patterson was busy in net for Denver, stopping 43 shots in regulation and overtime. Offensively, Brad Smyth had a goal and an assist for the Cutthroats. Joel Chouinard contributed with an assist. Rapid City edged Denver in the shoot-out 2-1. Smyth was named the second star of the game.


Plymouth skates past Saginaw 7-5. Each club had two power play tallies in the game. For Garrett Meurs, he was the offensive hero for the Whalers with a hat trick and an assist. Meurs has 30 goals on the season. Mitch Heard assisted on one of Meurs goals and notched his 13th marker on the season in the final period. Meurs and Heard were named the first and second stars of the game respectively. Plymouth extends their winning streak to five games.

Peterborough thumps Ottawa 7-2. Seven different skaters scored for the Petes. Joseph Blandisi had one of the two goals for the 67's. He opened the scoring with his 15th of the season and assisted on the other tally for Ottawa. Michael Clarke notched his first goal in nine games in the second period for Peterborough.  He was named the third star of the game. The Petes sit two points out of the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with three games remaining.


Prince George falls to Vancouver 5-3. Cain Franson produced a goal and three helpers for the Giants. Troy Bourke assisted on a power play tally for the Cougars. Franson earned first star of the game honors for Vancouver. Time is running out for Prince George, who trails eighth place Everett by four points for the final playoff position in the Western Conference.
