Grand Rapids edges Lake Erie 2-1. The Monsters have lost back-to-back games. The lone goal for Lake Erie was off the stick of Thomas Pock in the third period. He has 10 goals on the season. In net, Calvin Pickard made 25 saves. The Monsters are currently in ninth place in the Western Conference.
Saskatoon trips up Regina in overtime, in a high scoring affair, 8-7. Brenden Walker and Collin Valcourt each had two goals for the Blades. Walker had four points on the evening. Duncan Siemens assisted on a third period goal and had the secondary assist on the winning tally in overtime.
Kelowna trims Kamloops 2-1. The Blazers have dropped back-to-back games. Colin Smith was penalized for slashing in the first period. He has been held without a point in the last two contests. Jordon Cooke stopped 31 shots for the victorious Rockets.
Prince George nips Tri-City in a shoot-out 3-2. Jari Erricson had a goal and an assist for the Cougars in regulation. Troy Bourke was minus one for Prince George. He did not participate in the shoot-out, but his fellow team mates won the shoot-out 2-0.
Michigan dumps Northern Michigan 6-2; Wolverines advance. Luke Moffatt scored his seventh goal of the season early in the third period. Andrew Copp scored twice for the Wolverines. Michigan had two power play tallies.
Minnesota ends the regular season with a 5-1 win over Bemidji State. Nate Condon had two shots on goal for the Gophers. Erik Haula chipped in with a goal and two assists for Minnesota. Minnesota shares the regular season championship crown with St. Cloud State. Minnesota will play Bemidji State in the opening round of the WCHA Tournament.
