Plymouth thumps Niagara 7-1. The Whalers scored four times in the second frame. Garrett Meurs had his first multi-goal game since January 25th. After a scoreless opening period, Meurs potted his 25th of the season just 92 seconds into the second period. He added his second goal of the game less than four minutes later. He was named the second star of the game. His team mate Mitch Heard added two assists and earned third star of the game honors. Plymouth has won nine of their last 10 games.
Ottawa falls to Peterborough 4-3 in a shoot-out. The 67's scored twice on the power play during regulation. Joseph Blandisi assisted on the game opening power play goal for Ottawa. Michael Clarke was penalized for cross-checking late in the third period for the Petes. Neither player participated in the shoot-out, which was won by Ottawa 1-0.
