Lake Erie dumps Milwaukee 7-1. The Monsters power play was potent, scoring on three of four power play opportunities. Bill Thomas opened the scoring late in the first with his 18th goal of the season. Harrison Reed notched his first of the year with the Monsters by the end of the opening frame. Thomas added to his goal with three assists later in the contest.
In the second period, David van der Gulik (13) gave the Monsters a 3-0 lead before the Admirals scored their lone tally of the night. Luke Walker (6) and van der Gulik, with his second of the night, closed out the period for Lake Erie.
Thomas Pock (9) and Brad Malone (10) capped off the scoring for the Monsters in the third period. Paul Carey added two assists for Lake Erie. Calvin Pickard stopped 22 shots; winning his 14th game of the season. The struggling club has only won two of their last 10 games.
Peterborough doubles up Oshawa 6-3. The Petes scored three times in the second and third periods. Michael Clarke earned an assist on one of the third period tallies for Peterborough. Nick Ritchie and Derek Mathers each scored twice in the game for the Petes. The club has won seven of their last 10 games.
