Missouri skates past Denver 7-5. Two early third period goals cost the Cutthroats dearly in the contest. Kieran Millan has been the man in goal since Kent Patterson was recalled to the Lake Erie Monsters. Millan stopped 23 shots in the loss. Mikael Bedard scored twice for Denver, who falls to 16-9-2 on home ice.
Owen Sound edges Peterborough 3-2. All five goals in the game came in the second period. Michael Clarke was on the ice for both even strength tallies for the Attack. Cody Ceci found the back of the net twice for Owen sound. The Attack have won three straight.
Ottawa falls to Brampton 5-3. Barclay Goodrow had two tallies for the Battalion. Joseph Blandisi scored his 11th goal of the season on a penalty shot opportunity in the second frame. Later in the same period he received a fighting major and was later penalized in the third period for roughing. He was named the third star of the game. However, the 67's extended their losing streak to four games.
Plymouth throttles Sarnia 10-2. The Whalers dominated in shots 51-27. Stefan Noesen had a hat trick for the visiting Whalers. Garrett Meurs assisted on a first period Noesen tally. Mitch Heard had an assist of his own in the second frame. Plymouth has won six in a row.
Edmonton doubles up Prince George in shots; blanks the Cougars 6-0. Troy Bourke was minus one for Prince George. Curtis Lazar had two goals for the Oil Kings. For the Cougars, the loss puts the club three points out of the last playoff spot in the Western Conference.
Saskatoon upends Brandon 5-1. Duncan Siemens, providing steady play for the Blades, ended the evening with a plus two rating. Saskatoon had five different goal scorers in the contest. The club continues it's hot pace with their 12th stright victory.
