Hamilton uses four third period goals to skate past Lake Erie 6-2. Former Avalanche defenseman Brett Clark was signed to a professional tryout by the Monsters and suited up for his first game on Sunday. He was credited with an assist. Lake Erie was coming off back-to-back wins over Hamilton and Toronto. The club entered the game short-handed due to injuries.
Bryan Lerg scored for the Monsters in the second period after the club fell behind 2-0. Lerg leads the team in scoring with 21 points in 23 games. Markus Lauridsen (2) had the second goal for Lake Erie with under a minute remaining in regulation. Calvin Pickard gave up all six Bulldogs goals on 28 shots.
Barrie dumps Ottawa 7-2. Tyson Fawcett scored twice for the victorious Colts. Joseph Blandisi was minus two for the 67's. He was sent to the penalty box for kneeing in the second period. The Colts offense broke the game open in the third period with four goals.
North Bay edges Mississauga 3-2. Bryson Cianfrone assisted on both Steelheads goals. Spencer Martin stopped 32 shots in the loss. The game winning marker came with 52 seconds remaining in regulation. Martin's record drops to 13-16-1-1.
