OHL

Owen Sound scores three in the third, doubles up Oshawa 4-2. Joseph Blandisi had a third period assist. He was plus two for the game. The Attack are 7-3 in their last 10 contests.

QMJHL

Quebec trips up Sherbrooke in a shoot-out 6-5. The 13-round shoot-out was won 2-0 by the Remparts. Dillon Donnelly did not record a point and stayed out of the penalty box. Quebec had a 50-26 shot advantage during regulation and overtime. 

WHL

Regina dumps Saskatoon 6-2. The Pats scored five times in the second period. Chandler Stephenson had two goals and four assists in the game for Regina. Duncan Siemens was even for the contest. Regina was 4-7 on the power play.

Vancouver skates past Prince George 8-4. Each team scored twice on the power play. Troy Bourke assisted on a first period goal for the Cougars and scored both power play goals for Prince George in the second frame. In the third period, Bourke was penalized for slashing and was involved in a fight late in regulation.

NCAA

Non-Conference

Holy Cross trims Yale 5-4. Each club had three power play scores. Gus Young had three shots in the game and was minus one for the contest. His tripping penalty in the first period led to one of the power play goals for the Crusaders. Young received a slashing minor and 10-minute misconduct penalty near the end of regulation. The Bulldogs drop to 7-4-2.

Mariucci Classic (Minneapolis, MN)

Minnesota hammers Boston College 8-1. Nick Bjugstad and Kyle Rau each had two goals for the Gophers. Nate Condon notched his fifth goal of the season on the power play in the second frame. The Minnesota power play clicked at 50 percent for the game. The club is now the top ranked team in the nation.

Great Lakes Invitational (Detroit, MI)

Michigan upends rival Michigan State 5-2 in the third-place game. Luke Moffatt assisted on a third period goal for the Wolverines. He finished with two shots in the game. Michigan Tech won the championship game over Western Michigan 4-0.

Europe

Elitserien

Timrå IK falls to Linköpings HC 2-0. The teams were scoreless in the first two periods. Joachim Nermark scored his first goal of the season, which turned out to be the game winner.

HV71 tops Växjö Lakers HC 2-0. Jonas Holos was credited with one hit and three shots on goal for the Lakers. He was minus one for the game.
