The Washington Capitals announced on Friday that they opted to take one of the Avs 2012 second round picks; thus completing the trade betwen the two clubs that was initiated nearly a year ago. The draft pick originally belonged to the Boston Bruins, which was then obtain by Colorado via Toronto in exchange for John-Michael Liles. That leaves the Avalanche with just five draft selections in the upcoming 2012 NHL Entry Draft:
