OHL

Plymouth dumps Erie 10-6. The Whalers scored six times in the second frame. Garrett Meurs assisted on a first period goal and notched his 20th goal of the season in second period. He also took a high sticking penalty in the second frame. Plymouth has won seven straight games.

Belleville edges Peterborough 6-5. Each club scored once on the power play. Stephen Silas assisted on the third period power play goal that tied the game at five. The Bulls have won six of their last 10 games.

WHL

Saskatoon blanks Prince Albert 2-0. Duncan Siemens returned to the lineup after missing time due to a concussion. He assisted on a power play goal scored late in the first period. Siemens was also given two minor roughing penalties and a 10-minute misconduct penalty late in regulation. The Blades reside 10 games over 0.500.

Kamloops upends Portland 5-1. The Blazers carried a 44-25 shot advantage in the game. Troy Rutkowski had a minus two rating in the contest and found himself in the penalty box in the second period for a delay-of-game infraction. The Winterhawks have dropped back-to-back games.

Seattle falls to Prince George 3-1. The Thunderbirds failed to score on six power play chances. Calvin Pickard gave up two goals on 23 shots in the loss. Seattle remains two points behind eighth place  Victoria in the Western Conference.
