AHL

Lake Erie comes back to beat Oklahoma City in overtime 3-2. Evan Brophey (17) tied the game for the Monsters with 1:35 remining in regulation. Brad Malone would be the overtime hero with his eighth tally of the season. David van der Gulik (8) opened the scoring in the first period on the power play.

Gerald Coleman stopped 34 shots to earn his 11th win of the season with the Monsters. He was named the third star of the game. Malone, who was named the game's first star, also assisted on van der Gulik's goal. The Monsters conclude their three game road trip on Sunday in San Antonio.

OHL

Barrie blanks Belleville 3-0. All three goals for the Colts came in the third period. Stephen Silas was on the ice for all three goals. Each team was 0-3 on the power play. Belleville drops back to 0.500 with the loss.

WHL

Saskatoon falls to Brandon 2-1. Each team had 35 shots on goal. However, the Blades were 0-4 on the power play. Duncan Siemens was even for the contest. Saskatoon has won just three of their last 10 games.

Portland thumps Seattle 11-3. The Winterhawks fired 53 shots on the Thunderbirds net. Calvin Pickard was in net for 10 of those 11 goals as he faced 51 shots. He did set a WHL record for career minutes played (13,713) by a goaltender. He was recognized by the fans at the conclusion of the game. Troy Rutkowski had an assist and a plus two rating for Portland.

NCAA

CCHA Tournament

Michigan tops Notre Dame 3-1; Wolverines advance. The Fighting Irish had a slight 26-25 shot advantage. Luke Moffatt was held without a shot on goal and was even for the game. Neither club was able to score on the power play.

ECAC Tournament

Harvard trumps Yale in double overtime 4-3; forces a game three on Sunday. The Bulldogs came up empty handed on 11 power play chances. Defenseman Gus Young had one shot in the game and ended the night with a plus one rating.

Hockey East Tournament

Boston College edges Massachusetts 3-2; advances to the semifinals. Each team scored once on the power play. Paul Carey had two shots on goal for the Eagles. One of those shots found the back of the net for his 14th goal of the season on a power play in the first period. Carey was even for the game.

Boston University doubles up New Hampshire 4-2. The Terriers force a deciding game three. Kieran Millan had another strong performance for BU stopping 35 shots. He was named the second star of the game. The Terriers were 0-5 on the power play.

WCHA Tournament

Minnesota dumps Alaska-Anchorage 7-3; advances to the WCHA Final Five. The Seawolves scored three power play goals in the second period. Kent Patterson made 16 saves in the game. Nate Condon had one shot in the game and a plus one rating. He also assisted on a third period goal for the Gophers.
