Friday Scoreboard


Lake Erie falls to Rochester 6-2. The Americans scored three times in the second and third periods. The Monsters started off well; opening the scoring late in the first period on a power play goal by Patrick Rissmiller (8). Rochester took a 3-1 lead in a span of 2:45 early in the second period.

Stefan Elliott (3) scored his first goal with the Monsters since being sent down, to temporarily suspend the Americans barrage. Lake Erie could do little to stop Rochester in the third period. Gerald Coleman was pulled in the second period after allowing three goals on 16 shots. James Reid finished the game and gave up the other three Rochester goals on 22 shots. 

Lake Erie will host Rochester in the back half of their home-and-home on Saturday evening.

Owen Sound topples Plymouth 5-1. The teams combined to go 0-7 on the power play. Garrett Meurs was minus one for the game and was penalized for roughing towards the end of the third period. Plymouth is 6-4 in their last 10 games.

Oshawa hammers Belleville 8-1. The Bulls have dropped three straight. Stephen Silas was minus two for Belleville. The Generals scored twice on the power play on five chances.


Portland upends Everett 4-1. The Winterhawks dominated in shots 47-27. Troy Rutkowski had a quiet offensive game and was even for the contest. Portland has won five games in a row and has clinched a playoff spot.

Tri-City dominates Seattle 5-2. Calvin Pickard had a busy evening for the Thunderbirds, stopping 48 shots. Tri-City came up empty handed on three power play chances. Seattle has dropped eight of their last 10 games.



Michigan skates past Northern Michigan 4-1. The Wolverines scored on both of their power play opportunities. Luke Moffatt fired two shots on goal for Michigan. The club has reached 19 wins on the season.


Yale tops Dartmouth 5-3. The Bulldogs scored three times on seven power play chances. Defenseman Gus Young had two shots and was even for the game. He skated on the club's top defensive pairing. Yale is two games under 0.500.

Hockey East

Boston College doubles up Merrimack 4-2. The Eagles have reached the 20 win mark. Paul Carey registered his 10th goal of the season in the second period. He fired five shots on net in the game.

Boston University dumps UMass-Lowell 7-4. The Terriers scored on three of five power play opportunities. Kieran Millan made 32 saves for BU and has won 16 games this season.


Minnesota blanks Bemidji State 3-0. Kent Patterson did not face a ton of shots and came up with 13 saves. He has six shut outs on the season. Nate Condon was held to a single shot on goal for the Gophers and he was even for the game. Minnesota improves to 20-11-1 on the season.



CSKA beats Barys 4-1. Denis Parshin had a shot on goal for CSKA in the first period. He played just under 18 minutes in the game.


Ilves falls to JYP 5-2. Sami Aittokallio replaced starter Vesa Toskala to start the third period. Aittokallio made 10 saves.
