Lake Erie blows lead, falls to Rochester in overtime 7-6. Brad Malone opened the scoring at the 1:53 mark of the first period with his sixth tally of the season. Following a power play goal for the Americans, Mike Connolly (4) gave the Monsters a brief 2-1 lead. The Amerks finished the opening period with a power play and a short-handed goal.

The Monsters got back on track in the second period with goals by AHL Player of the Week David van der Gulik (9), Jamie MacQueen (2), and Karl Stollery (2). Two early third period goals for the Americans tied the game at five. van der Gulik (10) scored a short-handed tally past the midway point of the third to regain the lead for the Monsters. However, Rochester tied the game a few minutes later.

The Monsters managed a single shot on goal in the overtime session before Marcus Foligno (9) won the game for Rochester. Calvin Pickard stopped 26 shots in the loss. The Monsters finished 0-5 on the power play. The club allowed two power play goals to the Americans, along with a short-handed marker. van der Gulik was named the third star of the game.

Denver edges Rapid City 5-4. The Cutthroats opened the game with two first period goals. Rapid City took control of the game in the second period with three goals. Denver's leading scorer, AJ Gale, scored one of three goals for the Cutthroats in the third period. The winning tally, scored by Chris Greene, came 1:05 after Rapid City had tied the game. Kent Patterson made 39 saves to earn his ninth win of the season.



Växjö Lakers HC falls to Luleå HF 4-1. Jonas Holos had two shots in the game. He has three goals and nine assists in 33 games for the Lakers this season.
