Saturday Scoreboard


Lake Erie skates past Oklahoma City 5-3. It is the third time the clubs have faced each other in four games. The Monsters scored three times in the third period to steal the game from the Barons. Sami Aittokallio made 27 saves for the Monsters, including eight shots in the third period to help feed the comeback. Tyson Barrie (3) scored late in the first period to pull the Monsters even with the Barons.

Andrew Agozzino (2) gave the Monsters a 2-1 lead early in the second period. Lake Erie found themselves down 3-2 by the mid-way point of the period. All three goals from Thomas Pock (2), Karl Stollery (1), and Mark Olver (1) in the third period came on the power play. In addition to his goal, Barrie had two assists in the contest and was named the first star of the game.

Missouri topples Denver 8-5. Kieran Millan struggled and was ultimately pulled in the second period after allowing six goals on 29 shots. Kent Patterson surrendered two goals to the Mavericks and stopped 16 shots. AJ Gale was the offensive star for the Cutthroats with a hat trick and an assist. Former Av Kyle Quincey also chipped in with a goal and an assist. Ben Wilson had a goal on six shots. Gabriel Beaupre contributed with three shots on net.


Windsor trims Erie 3-2. The clubs each scored twice in the opening period. Kerby Rychel had the winning marker on a power play in the third period for the Spitfires. Michael Clarke did not factor in the game offensively, but did find himself in the penalty box for roughing in the first period. Windsor was 2-5 on the power play.

Oshawa trips up Owen Sound 2-1. Each team had 27 shots on goal. Both goals for the Generals came in the second period. Joseph Blandisi was minus one and was penalized for goaltender interference in the second frame. The lone goal for Owen Sound came on the power play in the first period. 


Kamloops doubles up Kootenay 6-3. The Blazers scored three times in the final period to take control of the game. Colin Smith recorded his ninth goal of the season in the first period for Kamloops and tacked on three assists; two in the second and one in the third. He was named the first star of the game. 

Everett edges Saskatoon 3-2. Joshua Winquist was the offensive star for the Silvertips; scored twice in the game. Duncan Siemens was minus three for the Blades. Both goals for Saskatoon were with the man advantage.

Prince George falls to Spokane 3-2. Each team scored twice on the power play. Troy Bourke did not record a point and was called for a slashing infraction in the second period. The Cougars were held to just 16 shots on goal in the game.



Minnesota tops Michigan Tech 3-2. The teams combined to go 0-7 on the power play. The Huskies only managed 18 shots on goal. It was a hard earned victory for the Gophers, who scored with under four minutes left in regulation to take the game. Nate Condon had an assist on Seth Ambroz's winning tally. Minnesota sits at 3-1 after four games.



Skellefteå AIK falls to Linköpings HC 5-3. Joachim Nermark was credited with two hits and two shots on goal in his limited ice time. His club won the game with three third period goals.

Växjö Lakers HC takes out Rögle BK in a shoot-out 3-2. Three power play goals were scored in the game. Jonas Holos had two hits in the contesst for the Lakers, who now have two wins on the season.
