OHL

Plymouth scores four times in the second period, upends Sudbury 6-2. Garrett Meurs assisted on a first period score for the Whalers. Each team scored once on the power play. Plymouth's four goal barrage in the second period came in a span of just 2:44.

Sarnia edges Owen Sound 2-1. The Attack had 29 shots in the game, but were 0-4 with the man advantage. Joseph Blandisi was minus one for Owen Sound. It was the first regulation loss for the club on the young season.

QMJHL

Val-d'Or falls to Drummondville 4-3. Each club scored twice in the second period. Gabriel Beaupre did not factor in on any goals for the Foreurs. All four goals for Drummondville came on the power play. Val-d'Or has dropped back-to-back games.

WHL

Saskatoon trips up Swift Current 2-1 in overtime. Both regulation goals came in the final period. Duncan Siemens assisted on Josh Nicholls game winner in the extra session. The assist helped to earn Siemens third star of the game honors. 

Seattle trims Prince George in overtime 2-1. The clubs combined to go 0-5 on the power play. After Prince George held the lead since the late stages of the second period, Seattle tied the contest with just nine seconds left in regulation. The Thunderbirds scored at the 2:00 mark of the overtime period to steal the game. Troy Bourke was minus one for the Cougars.

Europe

Elitserien

Luleå HF dumps Växjö Lakers HC 5-1. Jonas Holos had over 24 minutes of ice time for the Lakers and managed one shot on goal. He was minus one for the game. His club has lost their last two games.

MODO Hockey tops Linköpings HC 5-3. Joachim Nermark, who still is finding ice time difficult to come by, recorded one shot on goal for his team while skating on the fourth line. He was credited with a hit in the game.
