Sunday Scoreboard


Plymouth edges Sarnia 2-1. The Sting were 1-9 on the power play. Garrett Meurs did not factor in on the scoring and was even for the game. The Whalers extend their winning streak to six games.


Quebec falls to Val-d'Or 2-1. All three goals in the game were scored in the first period. The teams combined to go 0-7 on the power play. Gabriel Beaupre fired one shot on net and was plus one on the afternoon. The Foreurs have won back-to-back games.

Shawinigan doubles up Victoriaville 4-2. Three power play goals were scored in the game. Dillon Donnelly was credited with four hits in the game. He received a minor for roughing in the second period, to go along with a fighting major. Donnelly was also called for cross-checking in the third frame.


Hockey East

Merrimack and Boston College finish in a 2-2 tie. Merrimack scored what appeared to be the game winning goal with under 13 seconds left in the overtime session, but was called back due to a high stick. Paul Carey opened the scoring with his seventh goal of the season at the 47 second mark of the second period. He finished the game with four shots on goal.



Amur throttles CSKA 8-0. Denis Parshin recorded a shot on goal in each period, but came up empty handed.
