Saturday Scoreboard


Chicago upends Lake Erie 3-1. The Monsters have lost three games in a row. The Monsters started off well, scoring the game's first goal at the 43 second marker of the first period. Evan Brophey was credited with his 10th goal of the season. However, the Monsters were unable to recover from three second period goals by the Wolves.

Tevor Cann made 18 saves in the loss. The Monsters are off until Thursday when they will host Peoria.

Ottawa trims Belleville 3-2. The 67's won despite having only 18 shots on goal. Each club scored once on the power play. Defenseman Stephen Silas was minus one on the night for the Bulls. Belleville is now winless in their last five contests.

Plymouth edges Saginaw in a shoot-out 4-3. Two of the goals scored in regulation by the Whalers came on the power play. Garrett Meurs did not factor in on the scoring and was minus two for the game. Plymouth won the shoot-out 2-1.


Saskatoon scores three times in the second period, nips Regina 4-3. The Blades had a 33-26 shot advantage. Duncan Siemens did not record a point, but was plus one for his club. Saskatoon improves to 23-17-0-1.

Vancouver throttles Portland 8-4. The Winterhawks winning streak ends at six games. Troy Rutkowski was minus two for Portland. He was penalized for charging in what turned out to be a penalty filled third period for both clubs.

Spokane uses three first period goals to beat Seattle 4-2. The teams combined to go 0-10 on the power play. Calvin Pickard stopped 36 shots in the loss. The Thunderbirds have dropped four games in a row.



Lake Superior and Michigan skate to a 2-2 tie; Lake Superior earns the extra conference point in the shoot-out. Neither club was able to convert on the power play. Luke Moffatt moved up to the third line and fired three shots on net. He was minus one for the Wolverines. 


Yale dumps Princeton 6-2. The Bulldogs dominated in shots 49-25. Gus Young had one shot on goal for Yale and was plus three on the night. The Bulldogs improve to 8-6-1.


Notre Dame holds off Minnesota 4-3. The clubs each scored twice on the power play. Nate Condon did not have a shot on goal, but assisted on goals scored in the second and third periods. Kent Patterson lost his seventh game of the season; stopping 26 shots in the process.



Linköpings HC falls to Växjö Lakers HC 2-1. Jonas Holos had a single shot on net in 21 minutes of ice time.
