Oklahoma City holds off Lake Erie 3-2. The Monsters recorded only three shots on goal in the first and second periods and had 22 overall. Both Lake Erie goals came in the third period by Hugh Jessiman (17) and Patrick Bordeleau (2).
Trevor Cann started his third straight game and stopped 33 shots in the contest. Bordeleau was named the third star of the game. While the Monsters were 0-3 on the power play, they killed off all seven opportunities for the Barons. The Monsters will visit Milwaukee on Friday
Oshawa scores three times in the third period, upends Belleville 4-1. Stephen Silas was minus one on the night and was penalized for interference in the first period. The Bulls are winless in their last three games.
Plymouth dumps Saginaw 5-0. Garrett Meurs assisted on goals scored in the first and second periods. Meurs also notched his 16th goal of the season early in the third frame. He was named the second star of the game. The Whalers have won nine of their last 10 games.
Shawinigan pounds Rimouski 8-3. The Cataractes had a 40-21 shot advantage. Dillon Donnelly recorded his fifth assist of the season on a first period goal for Shawinigan. He was penalized for goaltender interference in the same frame and cross-checking in the second period; to go along with a third period fight. Shawinigan improves to 27-10-2-2 with the win.
Everett tops Seattle 5-2. The Silvertips scored twice on the power play. Calvin Pickard allowed all five goals on 27 shots. He and his club have dropped back-to-back games.
CSKA edges Sibir 2-1. Denis Parshin was credited with three shots on goal. He scored the game winner with less than five minutes left in regulation. Parshin has six goals on the season.
