Saturday Scoreboard


Lake Erie upends Hamilton 3-1. The Monsters have beaten the Bulldogs twice in the last five days. Mike Carman opened the scoring late in the first period with his third goal of the season. Less than two minutes after Hamilton tied the game at one, Patrick Rissmiller scored his fourth goal of the season.

Luke Walker (6) sealed the win with an empty net goal. Neither club was able to score on the power play. Gerald Coleman made 28 saves and is now 3-2 with the Monsters. He was named the second star of the game. Rissmiller and Carman were the first and third stars respectively.

Belleville edges Sarnia in a shoot-out 5-4. The teams combined to go 0-6 on the power play. Stephen Silas had an assist on a second period goal. He was plus one on the night. The Bulls won the shoot-out 2-1.


Saskatoon hammers Regina 8-1. The Blades scored five times in the third period. Duncan Siemens assisted on a first period tally. The Pats were 0-6 on the power play. Siemens was plus one for the game. Saskatoon has won eight of their last 10 games.

Portland scores four in the first, throttles Seattle 8-3. Calvin Pickard was pulled in the second period after allowing six goals on 25 shots. Troy Rutkowski was plus two for the Winterhawks as the team has now won three straight.



Yale trims Dartmouth 5-4. The Bulldogs scored three times in the third period. Gus Young was minus one in the contest. Yale is 9-10-2 with the win.

Hockey East

Maine topples Boston University 3-1; sweeps the two-game set. Each club scored once on the power play. Kieran Millan was named the second star of the game despite the loss. He made 34 saves. 

Boston College trips up New Hampshire in overtime 3-2. Each club scored once on the power play. Paul Carey fired four shots on goal, but did not score in the game. He was even for the contest. BC improves to 16-10-1 with the victory.


Minnesota sweeps St. Cloud State, wins 3-2. The Gophers dominated in shots 46-12. Nate Condon fired three shots on goal and finished the game with a minus two rating. He did assist on a power play goal scored in the second period. Kent Patterson stopped 10 shots and has 19 wins on the season.



Dinamo R falls to CSKA 2-1. Denis Parshin registered two shots on goal in the second period.


MODO Hockey dumps Växjö Lakers HC 6-2. Jonas Holos recorded two shots on net in the game and finished with a minus two rating.
