Plymouth topples Erie 6-2. Garrett Meurs did not have a hand on any of the goals scored by the Whalers. He was called for unsportsmanlike conduct in the later stages of the third period. Each club was 1-5 on the power play.


PEI blanks Val-d'Or 3-0. Both clubs combined to go 0-11 on the power play. Gabriel Beaupre finished minus two for the contest. He was held without a shot on goal.


Saskatoon scores twice in the third period to upend Prince Albert 5-3. Duncan Siemens, who was just reassigned by the Colorado Avalanche, assisted on a second period power play goal for the Blades. In all, he was minus one for the contest. 

Portland doubles up Seattle 6-3. Calvin Pickard surrendered five goals on 45 shots he faced in his first start of the season. Defenseman Troy Rutkowski recorded his first goal of the season; on a power play scored early in the third period. The Winterhawks have won their first two games on the young season.



MODO Hockey skates past Linköpings HC 3-2. Forward Joachim Nermark was called for interference in the first period. Nermark has yet to record a point in five contests for Linköpings.
