Lake Erie trips up Toronto 3-2. The Monsters won seven of eight meetings this season against the Marlies. Greg Mauldin opened the scoring in the second period, on the power play, with his 18th goal of the season. After falling behind 2-1, Shawn Belle (6), who was named the second star of the game, scored a power play goal late in the second period to tie the game at two.

Julien Brouillette (2) scored the game winner on the power play with six minutes remaining in regulation. He earned first star of the game honors. Ben Walter contributed with two assists. Jason Bacashihua had 32 saves and won his 22nd game of the season. He was the third star of the game.

With three games remaining, the Monsters trail Hamilton and Manitoba by one point for the division title.
