North Division Semifinals -- Best of 7 -- series tied at three
Manitoba stuns Lake Erie 4-1; advances to the next round. The Moose over came a 3-1 series deficit. The Monsters started game seven well as Jonas Holos scored his first goal of the post season late in the first period. However, the other 32 Monsters shots were turned away. In fact, Lake Erie's offense dried up as they only managed two goals in their last three games.
John Grahame allowed three goals, including the game winner on a breakaway, on 17 shots. It's likely the last game for Grahame in a Monsters uniform. After shutting down the Moose power play earlier in the series, Manitoba scored power play goals in back to back games.
Holos earned third star of the game honors. Justin Mercier and Ben Walter led the team in scoring and each had five points in the series. It was a successful season for the Monsters, despite the bitter end.
