Three of the Monsters goals came on the power play; two of them on a five minute power play in the first period. Ben Walter (3) and Luke Walker (1) recorded those goals. Manitoba pulled within one, in the third, before the Monsters scored two empty net goals credited to Matt Ford (3) and Mark Olver (2). The Monsters have killed off all 19 Moose power play chances in the series. Walter and Mercier were named the first and third stars of the game respectively. Stefan Elliott recorded his first professional point by assisting on Walker's first period goal. The Monsters can close out the series on Friday.
