David Van der Gulik (2) tied the game at one, on an unassisted goal, just 38 seconds into the second frame. Less than three minutes later, Ben Walter (2) capitlized on a Jonas Holos play to give the Monsters the lead for good. Lake Erie killed off all eight power play chances for the Moose.
Grahame turned away 39 Manitoba shots and was named the first star of the game. Van der Gulik earned third star of the game honors. Stefan Elliott played in his first professional game. The two teams will face off in game four on Thursday.
