Western Conference Semifinals -- Best of 7 -- 3-0 Owen Sound
Owen Sound skates past Plymouth 4-1; sweeps the series. Shots in the game were even at 37 a piece. Joey Hishon was plus one for the game. Despite the sweep, Hishon was kept relatively in check. He only had two assists in the series. Owen Sound will play the Saginaw/Windsor winner in the Western Conference Finals. The Spirit currently have a 2-1 advantage over the Spitfires.
Eastern Conference Semifinals -- Best of 7 -- 3-0 Kootenay
Kootenay completes their surprising sweep of Saskatoon; wins 5-2. The Blades were 0-4 on the power play and failed to score a powerplay goal throughout the series. Stefan Elliott was minus two for the game. He had a goal and assist in the series. He finishes the post-season with three goals and five assists in 10 games. Elliott is eligible to join the Lake Erie Monsters on an amateur tryout.
Western Conference Semifinals -- Best of 7 -- 2-1 Portland
Portland doubles up Kelowna 4-2; takes a 3-1 lead in the series. The Winterhawks had a 39-26 shot advantage. Troy Rutkowski assisted on a third period goal for Portland and was penalized for holding in the same period. He was plus two for the game. Tyson Barrie was minus one for the Rockets. Each club scored once on the power play. Portland can close out the series on Friday.
