Lake Erie ends the regular season with a 5-4 shoot-out win over Rochester. Matt Ford finished the season as the team's leading goal scorer. He notched his 26th of the year in the first period. The Monsters built a 4-1 lead in the second period on goals by Maury Edwards (1), Curtis Fraser (5), and Ben Walter (23). Walter ended the season as the team points leader with 70 in 77 games.
The Americans would force overtime by scoring three goals in the third period. Luke Walker and Julian Talbot scored for the Monsters in the shoot-out. John Grahame allowed only one goal in the shoot-out and stopped 30 shots during regulation and overtime. The Denver native has won 19 games with the Monsters this season.
Note: Defenseman Andrew Martens has been signed to a professional tryout. Colorado reassigned Jonas Holos, Mark Olver, Shawn Belle, and Ryan Stoa to the Lake Erie Monsters following the Avs regular season finale on Sunday afternoon. Ray Macias and Cameron Gaunce are also with the Monsters, though Gaunce is expected to miss some time due to a hand injury.

Portland doubles up Kelowna 6-3; ties the series at one game a piece. The Winterhawks nearly doubled up the Rockets in shots 52-28. Tyson Barrie assisted on a second period goal for Kelowna. He was minus two for the contest. Each club managed one power play goal in the game. The series shifts to Kelowna on Tuesday evening.
