Lake Erie did hold the Rampage to 19 shots, but San Antonio was 2-6 on the power play. Harrison Reed (2), Matt Ford (12), and Luke Walker (7) all scored for the Monsters. Walker was named the third star of the game.
John Grahame, who was named AHL Goaltender of the Month for January, had only 15 saves in the game. The Denver native has lost nine games in regulation this season. With the loss, the Monsters fall to 24-22-3-4.
Mississippi trips up Tulsa in overtime 4-3. Trevor Cann stopped a whopping 47 shots and was named the second star of the game despite the loss. The Oilers fall to 23-19-2 and are in third place of the Berry Conference.
Belleville falls to Brampton 2-1. The Bulls have lost three in a row and are 2-8 in their last 10 contests. Belleville was out shot 41-21. Stephen Silas was even for the contest.
Portland upends Edmonton 5-2. Troy Rutkowski assisted on a first period power play goal for the Winterhawks. It was the only power play goal scored by the club on seven chances. Portland improves to 35-15-0-3 with the win.
Prince George doubles up Kelowna 4-2. Rockets captain, Tyson Barrie, was minus one for the game. Kelowna was out shot 32-27. The loss is only the second in the last 10 games for Kelowna. Their record now stands at 30-21.
Seattle edges Everett in overtime 3-2. Calvin Pickard stopped 32 shots to earn his 19th win of the season. He was named the first star of the game. The victory was the first in the last 10 games for the Thunderbirds, who are in ninth place of the Western Conference.
Miami skates past Michigan 4-2. Luke Moffatt assisted on an open period tally for the Wolverines. He had two shots on net and a plus two rating. However, his second period goaltender interference penalty did lead to a RedHawks goal. Michigan falls to 17-8-4.
Boston College dumps Massachusetts 5-0. Paul Carey registered five shots on net and scored his 11th goal of the season. He was named the second star of the game. The Eagles improve to 19-6-0.
Boston University tops UMass-Lowell 3-1. Kieran Millan allowed just one goal on 31 shots. He was named the first star of the game. The Terriers two power play goals helped propel them to the win. They improve to 13-7-7.
Minnesota and Minnesota-Duluth skate to a 2-2 tie. Nate Condon assisted on a power play goal scored by the Gophers in the first period. Kent Patterson had another solid night in net for Minnesota. He stopped 40 shots in the game.
