CHL

Texas upends Tulsa 3-1. Tom Fritsche returned to the lineup and was penalized for tripping in the second period. He was minus one for the game and registered a single shot on net. Trevor Cann stopped 41 of 44 shots in the loss. He has lost five games in regulation this season with the Oilers. Tulsa falls to 24-21-2.

OHL

Saginaw trips up Owen Sound in overtime 4-3. It's the first loss the Attack has suffered in overtime this season; it also halts their winning streak at eight. Joey Hishon assisted on a second period goal and was minus one for the game. He was also caught for diving in the first period. Hishon remains sixth in league scoring with 75 points in 43 games.

Belleville edges Kingston 3-2. The Bulls have won three of their last 10 games. Stephen Silas assisted on a power play goal in the second period. The tally turned out to be the game winner. The victory ends a four game losing streak for the Bulls.

WHL

Saskatoon dumps Prince Albert 7-2. The Blades have won 10 games in a row. Stefan Elliott assisted on goals scored in the first and second periods. He finished with a plus one rating. Elliott has 64 points in 54 games and continues to lead all defenders in scoring. He's also 18th in scoring amongst all skaters.

Tri-City shuts down Portland 5-0. Troy Rutkowski was on the ice for all three even strength goals scored by the Americans. Tri-City had 15 power play opportunities in a penalty filled contest. With the loss, Portland's four game winning streak comes to an end.

Kelowna falls to Chilliwack in a shoot-out 5-4. The Rockets are winless in their last three games. Tyson Barrie assisted on two Kelowna goals and was plus one for the game. He was unable to convert on his shoot-out opportunity, but Barrie was named the second star of the game.

NCAA

CCHA

Michigan holds off Ohio State 3-2. Luke Moffatt fired two shots on the Buckeyes net and was even for the game. He skated on the fourth line for the Wolverines and was penalized for roughing in the first period. Michigan improves to 18-9-4.

ECAC

St. Lawrence stuns Yale 3-2. Gus Young played in just his third game of the season. He has missed most of the season due to a separated shoulder and a broken arm. Young assisted on a third period goal scored by the Bulldogs. It was his second point of the season. Yale has lost three of their last five games.

Hockey East

Boston College blanks Providence 3-0. Paul Carey was held off the score sheet and had two shots on goal. Neither team was able to convert on the power play. The win improves the Eagles to 21-6-0.

Boston University trims Massachusetts in overtime 4-3. Kieran Millan stopped 23 shots to earn his 11th win of the season. Both clubs were 0-6 with the man advantage. The Terriers improve to 14-8-7.

WCHA

Denver nips Minnesota 2-1. The Gophers out shot the Pioneers 37-30. Kent Patterson stopped 28 shots and his record drops to 9-7-4. Nate Condon skated on the third line for the Gophers and was held without a shot on net. He was even for the game. The Gophers now sit a game under 0.500.

North Dakota hammers Alaska-Anchorage 6-1. The Seawolves only managed 22 shots on the North Dakota net. Brad Malone was plus three for the contest and had a single shot on goal. He assisted on the opening goal scored by the Sioux. North Dakota improves to 20-8-2.
