Lethbridge trips up Portland in overtime 4-3. The Winterhawks winning streak ends at five. Portland led in shots 42-24. Troy Rutkowski did not factor in on the scoring. The clubs combined to go 0-8 on the power play.

NCAA

Non-conference

Massachusetts skates past Yale 3-1. The Minutemen had a 33-27 shot advantage. The lone Bulldogs tally came on the power play. The goal was recorded by Gus Young and it was his first on the season. Yale falls to 6-5-1 with the loss.

Yugra edges CSKA 3-2. Denis Parshin was held to a single shot on net in 16:28 of ice time.
