Charlotte scores late, stuns Lake Erie 4-3. Former Av and Lake Erie Monster, Chris Durno, scored the game winner with 1:33 remaining in regulation. This was after the Monsters had tied the game earlier in the third period on goals by Hugh Jessiman (9) and Evan Brophey (8).
After falling behind 2-0 in the first period, Mike Carman scored a short-handed goal in the second frame. His marker was his second goal of the season. Trevor Cann made 32 saves and watched his record fall to 5-9. Carman was named the third star of the game. The two clubs will face each other again on Monday.
Edmonton dumps Saskatoon 8-3. The Blades have lost back-to-back games. Duncan Siemens was even for the game. The Oil Kings scored five times on the power play.
