OHL

Belleville skates past Windsor 4-1. The clubs combined to go 0-5 on the power play. Stephen Silas was plus four on the night and assisted on a third period tally for the Bulls. The defenseman has 15 points in 27 games. The Bulls have extended their winning streak to six games.

Plymouth scores four times in the third period, upends Guelph 7-5. The Whalers had a 42-32 shot advantage. Garrett Meurs notched his 13th goal of the season early in the third period. He is averaging just under a point per game on the season with 27 in 29 contests. The Whalers have won back to back games.

QMJHL

Saint John trips up Shawinigan in overtime 3-2. Dillon Donnelly was minus two for the game. He threw out one hit and was penalized for goaltender interference in the first period and hooking in the second. The loss was the second for the Cataractes in overtime this season.

Val-d'Or blanks Drummondville 2-0. Gabriel Beaupre recorded just his second goal of the season; on a power play in the third period. He also was credited with two hits in the game. The Foreurs won their 14th game of the season.

WHL

Lethbridge doubles up Saskatoon 6-3. The Blades dominated in shots 55-35. Duncan Siemens did not factor in on the scoring. He was even for the game. The Blades were 0-3 on the power play. 

Portland hammers Seattle 7-1. The Winterhawks fired 60 shots on the Seattle net. Calvin Pickard faced 45 of those shots and allowed six goals before he has pulled after the second period. Troy Rutkowski assisted on a third period power play goal. In total, Portland scored four times on the power play on eight chances. The Winterhawks have won four straight.

NCAA

CCHA

Michigan trims Alaska-Fairbanks in overtime 1-0. The Wolverines even their record to 8-8-2. Luke Moffatt recorded four shots on net for Michigan and was on the ice when the game winning tally was scored. The teams combined to go 0-8 on the power play.

Hockey East

Boston College splits the home-and-home set with Boston University, dumps the Terriers 6-1. Neither club was successful on the power play on the evening. Paul Carey capped the scoring for the Eagles in the third period with his fouth goal of the season. Kieran Millan who started the game, was pulled at the end of the second frame after allowing five goals on 22 shots. BC improves to 11-5-0 with the win.

WCHA

Minnesota edges Minnesota State 3-2; sweeps the two-game series. The Gophers had a 40-28 shot advantage. Nate Condon assisted on a second period goal for Minnesota. He finished with three shots and a plus one rating. Kent Patterson earned his 13th win of the season with a 26 save peformance.

Frölunda HC falls to Växjö Lakers HC 6-2. Jonas Holos did not factor in on the scoring, but recorded two shots on net. He also had a plus two rating in the game.
