Lake Erie holds off Toronto 2-1. The Monsters had a single shot on goal in the third period and only had 11 shots total in the game. Justin Mercier opened the scoring in the first period with his seventh goal of the season. Hugh Jessiman (16) would score the game winner just before the midway mark of the second period. He was named the first star of the game.
Trevor Cann got the start for the Monsters and stopped 25 shots in the game. He has seven wins on the season. Mercier garnered third star of the game honors. The Monsters will visit Hamilton on New Year's Eve.
Belleville edges Sault Ste. Marie 6-5. The Greyhounds were 0-5 on the power play. Stephen Silas had an assist in each period. He found himself in the penalty box during the second period for roughing. Belleville now trails East Division leading Ottawa by five points.
Saskatoon's downward spiral continues as they lose 5-2 to Prince Albert. The club has dropped five games in a row and are losers of eight of their last 10. Duncan Siemens did open the game's scoring with his fifth marker of the season. However, he ended up minus one for the contest. Siemens was called for roughing in the first and third periods.

Michigan doubles up Boston College 4-2. Paul Carey scored a power play goal for the Eagles in the second period. It was his sixth goal of the season and his only shot of the game. Carey did get penalized for roughing and tripping penalties in the first period. Luke Moffatt would also score in the game. His first period power play goal was his fourth goal of the season for Michigan. The Wolverines improve to 10-8-3 with the win.
