Wednesday Scoreboard


Houston edges Lake Erie 2-1. The Aeros had a slight shot advantage 27-23. Greg Mauldin had the lone Monsters tally. It was his fourth goal of the season. He had six shots in the contest and earned third star of the game honors.

Trevor Cann made the start in net for the Monsters, as starter Cedrick Desjardins is recovering from a lower body injury. Cann made 25 saves in the loss. The Monsters are 5-4-1 in their last 10 games.

Belleville doubles up Kingston 4-2. The teams combined to go 0-8 on the power play. Stephen Silas was credited with an assist on the empty net goal that sealed the win for the Bulls. He was plus one for the contest. Silas was penalized for high-sticking in the second period. Belleville is on a four game winning streak.


Kootenay scores four times in the third period; dumps Saskatoon 6-1. Neither club was able to score on the power play during the game. Duncan Siemens was minus three on the night. The Blades have dropped three games in a row.



CSKA falls to Torpedo 3-2 in a shoot-out. Denis Parshin had four shots in the game and scored in the first period.
