Lake Erie drops their third in a row, loses 1-0 to Hamilton. Goaltender Cedrick Desjardins stopped 29 of 30 shots and earned third star of the game honors. His club was 0-4 on the power play. Ryan Stoa led the team in shots with five. The Monsters are off until Thursday.

Belleville edges Owen Sound 2-1. The Bulls have won two games in a row. Stephen Silas had the secondary assist on the game winning tally. The Attack were 0-7 on the power play.

Windsor trims Plymouth in a shoot-out 3-2. Garrett Meurs notched his fifth goal of the season on a power play in the second period. He would also assist on the goal scored with 1:58 remaining in regulation that would tie the game. The Spitfires won the shoot-out 2-1. Meurs was named the first star of the game.


Edmonton skates past Seattle 4-1. The Thunderbirds have lost four games in a row. Calvin Pickard surrendered four goals on 44 shots. He earned third star of the game honors for his efforts.

Saskatoon scores four times in the second period, hammers Lethbridge 7-3. Duncan Siemens assisted on one first period and two second period goals. He was caught for tripping in the third period and finished plus two for the game. Siemens was chosen as the third star of the game.

Portland upends Kelowna 3-1. Troy Rutkowski was even for the game. The Rockets were 0-3 on the power play. The Winterhawks have won three games in a row.



Michigan uses three third period goals to topple Western Michigan 5-2. Luke Moffatt was held without a shot on goal and was minus one for the game. He played right wing on the fourth line for the Wolverines. Michigan improves to 7-2-1 with the win.


Yale shuts down Colgate 2-0. Defenseman Gus Young had two shots on goal for the Bulldogs. Yale thwarted all five power play chances for Colgate. The Bulldogs are now 2-1-1 on the season.

Hockey East

Massachusetts upsets Boston College 4-2. Paul Carey assisted on a third period power play goal for the Eagles. He had three shots on net. Both goals for BC came with the man advantage. The club falls to 8-2-0 on the season.

UMass-Lowell thumps Boston University 7-1. Kieran Millan was pulled after two periods, as he gave up six goals on 30 shots. In total, the Terriers were out shot 44-16. BU drops to 3-3-1 with the loss.


Minnesota comes back to beat North Dakota 3-2. The Gophers sweep the two game set. Kent Patterson made a key save late in the third period that helped to preserve a 2-2 tie before Kyle Rau scored the game winner with under a minute remaining in regulation. Patterson finished with 17 saves. Nate Condon had three shots on goal for the Gophers.



Skellefteå AIK uses the shoot-out to beat Växjö Lakers HC 3-2. Jonas Holos had two shots on goal in the game. He played just a nudge over 24 minutes in the game and finished minus one on the evening.

Frölunda HC falls to Linköpings HC 2-1. All three goals were scored in the first period. Joachim Nermark skated on the fourth line for Linköpings and was held without a shot on net.
