Friday Scoreboard


Lake Erie scores three times in the first period, skates past San Antonio 4-1. Evan Brophey was the offensive hero, scoring the first hat trick of the season for the Monsters. Ryan Stoa had the other goal for the Monsters. He finished with four shots on goal and was involved in a fight in the first period.

Cedrick Desjardins made 27 saves in the win. His record improves to 3-2 on the season. David Van der Gulik and Greg Mauldin each had two assists. The Monsters will host Peoria twice next week.

Plymouth doubles up Guelph 8-4. The Whalers scored five times in the first period. Garrett Meurs opened the scoring in the first period with his sixth goal of the season. Plymouth was 1-7 on the power play. The Whalers improve to 11-6-2-1.


Shawinigan out lasts Rimouski 8-7. Five power play goals were scored in the game. Dillon Donnelly was plus three for the contest. He fired one shot on goal and assisted on a tally scored late in the second period. Donnelly was penalized for fighting in the third period.

Gatineau upends Val-d'Or 6-4. The Foreurs held a 32-24 shot advantage. Gabriel Beaupre had four shots on net, but was minus two for the game. Val-d'Or falls to 10-13-0-2.


Seattle edges Calgary 5-4. Calvin Pickard stopped 23 shots in the win. His records improves to 7-9. Each club scored once on the power play and shots were even at 27 a piece.

Portland trips up Spokane 6-5 in a shoot-out. Troy Rutkowski finished the game with a minus two rating. The Winterhawks scored three times on the power play and held a 41-37 shot advantage. Portland won the shoot-out 4-3.



Miami trims Michigan 2-1. The clubs combined to go 0-7 on the power play. Luke Moffatt skated on the fourth line for the Wolverines and recorded two shots on goal. He was even for the game. Michigan falls to 7-3-1 with the loss.


Yale blanks RPI 2-0. The Bulldogs had a slight edge in shots 29-27. Gus Young had one shot for Yale and had an even rating on the evening. The Bulldogs improve to 3-1-1.

Hockey East

Boston College nips Northeastern 2-1. The Huskies were 0-4 on the power play. Paul Carey was held to two shots on net for the Eagles. BC earns their ninth win of the season.

Merrimack stuns Boston University in overtime 3-2; remains undefeated on the season. The winning goal was scored 22 seconds into the overtime session. BU was only able to convert on one of their nine power play chances. Kieran Millan made 27 saves in the loss.


Wisconsin topples Minnesota 3-1; Gophers fall to 9-2-0. Nate Condon was dropped to the fourth line and finished the game with one shot on goal and a minus one rating. Kent Patterson made 18 saves in defeat. Minnesota was 1-3 on the power play.
