Saturday Scoreboard


Belleville fires 42 shots on net, but falls 4-1 to Peterborough. Stephen Silas was minus two for the Bulls. The lone Belleville tally came on the power play; the club was 1-5. The Bulls record is 7-7 after 14 games.

Plymouth skates past Kingston 3-1. Garrett Meurs had the secondary assist on the game winning goal, which was scored at the 1:20 mark of the third period. He was also credited the empty net tally that sealed the victory for the Whalers. Plymouth wins their eighth game of the season.


Quebec trims Shawinigan 5-4 in a shoot-out. Dillon Donnelly was plus one in the game and recorded two shots on net. He was penalized for roughing in the first and second periods. The Remparts won the shoot-out 1-0.

Halifax scores three times in the first period, topples Val-d'Or 5-2. Gabriel Beaupre was penlized for holding late in the first period. He was credited with one hit and a single shot on net. Val-d'Or falls to 9-10-0-2.


Portland falls to Kootenay 4-1. Each club had 29 shots on goal. The Winterhawks were 1-6 on the power play. Troy Rutkowski was minus one on the evening. He served a delay of game penalty in the third period. Portland is 4-4-1-1 in their last 10 games.

Saskatoon holds off Prince Albert 4-3. Duncan Siemens had the lone assist on a short-handed goal scored by the Blades in the second period. Both clubs scored twice on the power play. Siemens was guilty of slashing in the third period. The Blades have won two games in a row.

Victoria thrashes Seattle 7-3. The Royals scored four times on the power play. Calvin Pickard was pulled in the second period after allowing five goals on 17 shots. The Thunderbirds drop to 5-6 on the season.


Hockey East

Boston College doubles up UMass-Lowell 6-3. Despite the score, the Eagles were out shot 40-24. Paul Carey was dropped to the third line and had four shots on goal for BC. The Eagles were 2-4 with the man advantage. Boston College improves to 7-1.


Minnesota improves to 7-1; takes out Alaska-Anchorage 3-1. Kent Patterson had another solid performance, stopping 26 Seawolves shots. Nate Condon scored a spectacular short-handed goal for the Gophers in the second period. He has four goals on the season. The lone Seawolves tally came on the power play.

Ivy Shootout (Hanover, NH)

Yale nips Dartmouth 2-1. All three goals in the game were scored in the second period. Gus Young found himself on the third pairing for the Bulldogs. He fired one shot on net and was minus one on the evening. Young was penalized for slashing early in the second period. Yale is 1-0-1 to start the season.



Linköpings HC edges the Växjö Lakers HC 2-1 in overtime. Jonas Holos did not have a shot on goal and was even for the game. He had one hit in 21:34 of ice time.
