The Monsters grab their second win of the season; trips up Toronto 5-4 in overtime. After falling behind 1-0, the Monsters received goals from David Van der Gulik (2), David Liffiton (1) and Tyson Barrie (1). The Marlies would score three goals in the third period to take a 4-3 lead. Evan Brophey's first goal of the season tied the game at the 16:37 mark of the third frame.

Barrie would be the overtime hero with his second goal of the contest. The goal came on the power play. He was named the first star of the game. Van der Gulik also had two assits in the game. The power play for the Monsters did break out with three extra man tallies. Trevor Cann made 24 saves in the win.

Plymouth scores five goals in the third period, hammers Mississauga 8-4. Garrett Meurs did not factor in on any of the Whalers goals and finished the game with a minus one rating. Each club recorded a power play goal. Plymouth improves to 6-5-2 with the win.


Val-d'Or uses three second period tallies to upend Rouyn-Noranda 5-1. Gabriel Beaupre fired one shot one goal for the Foreurs. His club was 2-7 on the power play. Val-d'Or earns their ninth win of the season with the victory.


Seattle is unable to overcome a three goal first period by Everett; falls 5-1 to the Silvertips. Calvin Pickard stopped 27 shots in the loss. His record falls to 4-4.



Vermont ends Minnesota's winning streak; holds off the Gophers 5-4. Kent Patterson suffered his first loss of the season. He had 20 saves in the game. Nate Condon skated on the second line for the Gophers, and fired one shot on goal. He was minus one for the contest.
