London doubles up Plymouth 6-3. The Whalers carried a 44-26 shot advantage. They also scored twice on 10 power play opportunities. Garrett Meurs had a quiet offensive game for Plymouth.
Gatineau holds off Val-d'Or 6-4. Gabriel Beaupre was minus three for the game and was held without a shot on goal. Val-d'Or as a team had 35 shots compared to Gatineau's 25.
Brandon blanks Saskatoon 6-0. The Blades dropped their first game of the season. Duncan Siemens was minus one for the contest and was penalized for roughing late in the third period. Saskatoon was held to just 23 shots on goal and was 0-5 on the power play.
Seattle falls to Portland 4-2. Calvin Pickard stopped 33 shots in the loss for Seattle. He is 0-2 on the young season. Troy Rutkowski finished the game plus one for the Winterhawks. Portland improves to 3-2 with the victory.
